This partnership seeks to introduce fans to the ever-evolving world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. And this is not limited to just fan engagement; Coinbase's brand presence will be ubiquitous at Climate Pledge Arena, from the Storm court to the starting line-ups.


Forging Social Change with 'The Blockchain' Initiative

One of the unique aspects of this partnership is its commitment to social responsibility. Through the Force4Change initiative, the Seattle Storm and Coinbase have launched 'The Blockchain'— a season-long effort to donate to TechBridge, a non-profit organization dedicated to leveraging technology to enhance social justice, hunger relief, homeless support, and workforce development. For every block made by a Storm player this season, $70 will go to TechBridge, reinforcing the strong link between the team's on-court actions and off-court impact.


Elevating Fan Experience with Special Promotions and Exclusive NFTs

The fan experience will see an upgrade too. Coinbase will sponsor in-game promotions, allowing a fan to win up to $1,000 at each game throughout the season. The digital marketplace will also see the release of an exclusive Storm-themed NFT, taking fan memorabilia into the digital realm.




Amplifying Athlete Brand Ambassadors

In addition to the franchise partnership, Coinbase has individual deals with Storm players Jewell Loyd and Sue Bird, making them the platform's newest brand ambassadors. This is a significant step toward aligning the athletes with an emergent financial system and contributes to their personal brand growth.
